Owen Davis studied sustainable communities and electrical engineering at
UC Berkeley, was a principal in two (founder of one) successful
high-tech companies, and has been a business and computer consultant.
Believing that business can be an engine of transformation, his
current passion is business models that have a built in social benefit.
His latest project, the Identity Commons (
www.identitycommons.net)
grew out of conversations with a network of software developers
exploring social network ideas who wanted to work together while working
independently. He co-authored “
The
Social Web” an article on building an open social network, and
contributed to “
Growing
a Commons Worthy of Trust”, a blue print for building the Identity
Commons.
