SocialPhysics Feb 9 "long lunch" - On February 9, a panel of "wise folk" assisted by a group of technologists and activists, met at the Harvard Faculty Club to discuss a challenge: How to overcome market and policy failures to release social and technological innovation by creating a commons infrastructure to support trusted interchange and networks of social networks. The goal of the meeting was to explore how complimentary open source efforts can be combined to undertake a pilot project to demonstrate the value of effectively networked organizations and markets Subtopics of discussion included long tailed markets, reputation systems, identity management and trust frameworks.
